Coastal Carolina Velo
This is a group of New Bern cyclists that ride on Saturday mornings from early spring through late fall.

New Bern Century Cyclists
Not so much a club as a guy with a website who organizes rides. They meet regularly on Sunday mornings in New Bern.

Down East Cyclists
This club is run by the cyclists at The Bicycle Shop in Jacksonville. They have regular rides and monthly meetings.

North Carolina Bike Club
This the huge bicycle club in Raleigh. As you might expect, it's a bit of everything.

Carolina Tarwheels Bicycle Club
This is the Durham version of the North Carolina Bicycle Club.

East Carolina Velo Cycling Club
This Greenville club has everything from leisure riding to Cat 2 and National Class Masters racing. They have rides several days a week.

Cape Fear Cyclists
CFC has regular rides around Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach all year and welcomes newcomers and visitors.

River City Cyclists
This club in Elizabeth City sponsors a big century ride in the Spring and weekday rides during daylight savings time.

Tarheel Cyclists
This is the huge club in Charlotte. They have regular rides and welcome visitors to most of their events.

Blue Ridge Bicycle Club (Asheville)
As you can imagine, this Asheville club has a lot of hilly rides. They have a great website with cycling info, ride maps and cue sheets. A great resource if you're vacationing in the area.

Sandhills Cycling Club
This is a serious group of racers, but they also welcome non-competitive riders.

North Carolina Bicycling Highways
Nine different routes covering 3,000 miles of the best North Carolina has to offer comprise the current system. Each route is described in a printed guide that can be ordered on the website at no charge.

Mountain Biking in Western North Carolina
This is a great site for locating trails in Western NC. Let's face it, if you like mountain biking, Western NC is the place.

New River Trail
This trail in SW Virginia has a good surface and is nearly flat. Nearby is Galax, VA, where they have the Old Time Fiddlers Convention every August.

Virginia Creeper Trail
Another great trail in SW Virginia, this one goes from Abingdon to Whitetop Station and will eventually connect to a trail in NC.

Washington and Old Dominion Trail
A unique recreational resource in northern Virginia: the W&OD trail, a 45-mile paved multi-use rail-trail that is owned and operated by the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority.

C&O Canal Towpath
The C&O Canal Towpath follows the route of the Potomac River for 184.5 miles from Washington, D.C. to Cumberland, MD. A great place to cycle away from the traffic and noise of D.C.
