An
Oriental
resident
this week discovered what is thought to be Oriental's first
crop circle.
8 straight
days of rain may explain how the mushrooms grew, but it does
not explain why they form an arc more than 15 feet in length
on the lawn near the intersection of Main and South Water Streets.
The growth has experts in the field stumped. Few had seen a
crop semi-circle before.
No
sooner were the mushrooms discovered than the eternal Oriental
conversation ensued. Were they 'Born Heres" or "Came Heres"?
Or were they "Sent Heres"??

According
to one alien invasion theory, the mushrooms are actually part
of a network of satellite dishes capable of receiving signals
-- and instructions -- from interplanetary vessels. That could
explain why the mushrooms are pointed in a variety of directions.
Mel Gibson has not been sighted.
