Dave Mauney started riding his bicycle into town a while back from his home in Oriental Plantation. It is enough that his bike is one of those odd looking recumbents, but added to that is Dave’s fashion sense.
Dave’s choice of orange top accomplishes two things – it makes him easy to see for motorists, plus shows off his spirit to his Alma Mater – Clemson. Dave admits to actually liking orange clothing.

| Laura Turgeon and her husband Gil Fontes live in Oriental. When they are not out looking at boats Laura and Gil are often seen with drawing instruments or paint brushes in hand. More of Laura's work can be found at her site LauraTurgeon.com. |
