Jazz stylist Nnenna Freelon has been called the “international voice of jazz” and she’ll be touching down at Oriental’s Old Theater on January 27 at 7:30p. Freelon’s known for her silky interpretations of jazz standards and fresh compositions of her own.
The show is sold out but Freelon will also be offering a free workshop on vocal improv from 3-4p on the day of her show. The workshop, at the Old Theater, is open to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can get info on other upcoming concerts via the Pamlico Musical Society’s website.
