The Oriental Repertory Company presents “The Amorous Ambassador” on March 26 and 27 at 7:30p at the Old Theater. It’s being described as “another hormonal comedy.”
So what is the show about?
When Harry Douglas, the new American Ambassador to Great Britain, tells his family he is going to Scotland to play golf, his wife Lois and daughter Debbie announce plans of their own. Their newly hired butler, Perkins, watches stoically as each leaves and secretly returns for a romantic rendezvous in the empty house.
Tickets $12 ($10 for Old Theater contributors) available at Croakertown and Bank of the Arts in New Bern. All proceeds go to benefit the Old Theater and its ongoing operations.
