Oriental’s Town Board holds its first-Tuesday-of-the-month meeting on October 5 at 7pm at Town Hall. On the agenda: a continuation of August’s public hearing on Sylvan Friedman’s request to rezone land behind Croakertown and the Post Office from residential (R3) to mixed use (MU). That request has drawn opposition from nearby residents and property owners in the neighborhood. (It was continued to the September meeting and postponed to October at Mr. Friedman’s request.) The meeting is open to the public.
