Dear Lois,
I’ve
heard that too. It means that above all other considerations
(floor plan, style, condition, construction quality,
etc.) you should think about the property location before
purchasing. You can always paint and fix up but you
can’t move a house. It’s always going to
be next door to that waste dump or whatever. While that
may not bother you or me, it could slow down the sale
of your property and hurt the value of your property
when the time comes to move on.
(My own
personal real estate motto is “trees, trees, more
trees.”)
Your friend,
Howard
