Dear
Howard, |

I’m
wondering…what do you think of those dogs that
wear the little sweaters? And, could you tell me, why
do some houses sell faster than others?
Cricket Vandenberg (by e-mail) |
Dear Cricket,
If you are a dog and your owner suggests that you wear
a sweater … suggest that he “wear a tail”
to quote Fran Lebowitz.
There are three reasons a house doesn’t sell:
price, condition and location. You can’t do much
about location but you can improve condition and adjust
price. Unfortunately the price adjustment is usually
down but sometimes it is more economical to cut the
price than to keep making monthly payments and hoping
for a sale at higher price.
Your friend,
Howard
