Dave Cox Monday afternoon where South Avenue meets Oriental’s Harbor. Earlier in the day, he learned that NC’s Supreme Court had denied an appeal by Lacy tried to claim the valuable waterfront property. As a town commissioner, Cox had persistently urged the town to fight for the land.
