Joe Kochuba, preparing new supports for the muscadine grapes he’ll be planting in Florence. Joe and his wife, Nobuko, already raise 10 varieties of muscadine — Carlos, Noble, Black Beauty, Magnolia to name a few. Some, Joe says, are for eating, others for jam and still others for making wine. They hope to be offering them at the Oriental Farmers’ Market next year.
