The yellow boat in front of Oriental’s History Museum is a Harker’s Island design. It was donated by Warren and Kathy Bruce who’d earlier bought it from Cecil Sykes. Before that the trail goes cold. The museum welcomes info on the boat.. as well as volunteer “boatkeepers” to help keep up the ever-expanding collection of vessels in front of the museum.
