Oriental Sailmakers we are dedicated to sailmaking, combined with personal service from a true sail loft in North Carolina's Sailing Capital. Sailmaking
is a family tradition - Wally Chapin's father was a sailmaker - and
the family skill continues today in Oriental.

Wally
Chapin has been making sails for 40years. Sails for performance
racers, and sails for local and long distance cruisers. We participate
in the sailing sport too - you'll find Wally on deck and local
races and regattas.

displays his father's original Sailmaker's certificate from

an experienced sailor as well as sailmaker, Wally can walk you
through the process of getting the right sails for your boat.
You'll get local support before and after you purchase a sail.

in Oriental's Sailing Capital, Oriental Sailmakers has been
