Grand fishing trawlers and fine yachts often provide scenery in Pamlico County. But the small craft provide just as much joy to the eye. Kayaks on the creeks and the Neuse. The Optimist prams and Sunfish used for sail training.
And then there is the classic canoe. Chairmaker Michael Brown keeps this one at his home on the water near Grantsboro.
