Many things
went floating and flying during Hurricane Isabel. Some of them
landed in a neighbor's yard. Or several blocks away. We found
the Yield sign from the corner of South Water and Main - it
was in the rushes behind our house (we kinda like it....but
the town might want it back).
And right nearby, there in the reeds at TownDock.net, there's
a mysterious blue plastic bundle wrapped in yellow line. We
took a photo of it and it looked so much like a body bag that
we are now hesitant to open it up. And a doghouse floated in
to the yard of our neighbor, Grosvenor Barber. Grosvenor, meanwhile,
is looking for the legs and stand of his garden sink. And we'd
like to know where a wooden dining room table (NOW FOUND)
-- which we thought we anchored well with four cinder blocks
and an anchor -- floated away to.

Our beloved Sunfish named “PICKLEPUSS” took off
on her own to seek her fortune and see the world during Isabel.
Although lashed to her faithful trailer TONTO, she wiggled loose
and disappeared from the Ball Creek area in Florence. She has
a white deck with blue and red diagonal stripes. Her folks would
love to have her back. If sighted please call Alan or Patty
Anne Dietrich @ 745-5045 or e-mail us at anatine@coastalnet.com.

We found an adorable cat. She is white with black markings and
has no tail......loves people and knows the litterbox. Call
Jan or Lis at 249-0243 if you're missing her.

Hi! Following up on your lost and found... I
have received 2 treated wood picnic tables and a deck from Isabel.
It seemed a little strange that they
came in and stayed together. After checking with my neighbors
and customers at Crabby Dad's, it was suggested that I check
out your site. Seems there might be a few candidates for ownership!
I also received about a ton of mulch! Too bad I have no flower
beds to put it to use. I could use a rake which disappeared
from here.
Contact Debbie, (Crabby Mom) @ 249-2733 to claim.
P.S. Crabby Dad's is open and once again has my crabcakes. 745-5233

This floated into our yard.....if it's some one's treasure,
call 249-0764 to rescue. Otherwise it can join our curbside
trash. Ellen Demko

We
have 2 items missing from the Green Bay Marina area that we
have been unable to find. We thought perhaps they could have
ended up in Oriental.
Items: Two picnic tables.
One is six-sided. The wood is darkened by age.
The other one is the usual picnic table shaped.
The wood is light-colored and thicker than most
The top boards have rounded ends.
I can be reached at strodmama@geeksnet.com
or 249-2076.
Thank you.

Oriental Pet clinic is missing part of the sign in front of
the house at the corner of Broad and Neuse. The missing part
is a piece of wood in the shape of a retriever puppy making
a play bow. The wood is painted a faded brown and is approx.
8-9 inches wide by 6-7 inches high. If found please call 249-2775.
Thanks.

From Green Bay Marina: one front porch about 4'x8' with steps
and hand rails - gone, disappeared, no trace! How in he!!???
The Trade Wind (liquid version) left a picnic table in it's
place (Carolyn has already deterimed it's not hers). Also nice
steps (double 2x12 top step and a 2x12 lower) treated wood,
from my storage building. Also my dock box has escaped: heavy
black plastic truck box (about 4x2.5x2.5, Contico brand) filled
with 2 cast nets, life jackets, lines, minnow trap, bait buckets,
etc.
Thanks
