On Saturday evening as dark set in, Oriental’s
silky summer dragon made a run down Hodges Street, to the accompaniment
of many pots and pans clanging. The dragon run, traditionally
done on New Year’s Eve, made a special run to give the
visitors a unique taste of Oriental. We're pretty sure no other
town the cyclers visited had a dragon run...

After all was ready the dragon emerged from a South Water
Street driveway

...and out onto Hodges Street for the dragon run (and
lots of noise).
